ISA Project No. 10

Due to ISA(International School Award) we class 8 students got a chance to make Momo and donate something for the orphans. Momo is south asian dumpling. It is a stuffed dumpling. Making it in home was not much fun but preparing it with friends and teachers made it so much interesting and fun. And donating something we earned by our works to orphans made me feel so much good.

We were preparing it for the whole school including teaching staffs, non-teaching staafs, students. We had to make it for about 463 persons. So, on the very first day we discussed about it and divided our work in 4 groups. On the other day we collected money from everyone and went to buy ingredients needed for preparing momo in the local market of ganesthan. And from the left money we saved it for the orphan children. We were going to buy foods and clothes from that money.

All of us brought utensils which was required

for preparing momo. On the same day we cut the vegetables and prepared dough because we were preparing momo on the next day. And finally on the next day we were making. On that day while i came to school all of my friends had arrived and started making it. Then, I too joined them and helped in preparing it. Our teachers were instructing us. All of us were busy doing different works. Some of us were cooking, washing utensils, mixing kima, etc. After it was cooked we started distributing it to everyone. Because we were not habituated it was prepared little late. Some of us were really hungry so we ate some momos hiding with our teachers. It was fun hiding and eating it. Then momo making was finished in about 4:20. Because i was bus student i had to eat fast and go home. My friends had to stay and finish others works like washing.
And some weeks later after preparing momo we fixed the date for the donation. A little amount of money was left so we bought lactogen powder for the orphan children andour teacher Binu Mathema mam also helped us by buying caps and socks for the children. When we reached the orphanage  with our teachers I felt bad for the children without their parents. But seeing them smile, laugh and play    I felt very happy. And seeing them wear the caps we brought it made me feel so much happy. They were also happy I guess. Then we asked some queries and gave them the donations. Then we left the orghanage.
After that we again got a chance to prepare an international dish. This was also a part of our project. We searched for different international dish then we fixed to prepare Chole Bhatture which was the local food of India. It was similar to puri tarkari(nepali food). We went for shopping and brougt the utensils needed to prepare it. After fixing the date and all we started preparing it. Our teacher helped and instructed us to prepare this dish. All of us helped in every works. After it was fully prepared we distributed it to our teacher and we grade 8 students also ate it. It turned out to be very tasty. Like preparing momo it was also very fun.
Then our project started to end. So, at last we presented everyting we did on this project. We presented it in groups. There were 2 groups who presented it. In which I was also involved. After we presented it our teachers and friends gave us suggestions and feedbacks which would help us in the future. Then, our project ended successfully.

I would like to thank our teachers Deepak sir, Khem sir, Kamal sir, Aarati Mam for giving

is a chance to donate something we earned  and preparing momo and Chole Bhatture. I would also like to thank my school for letting us organize these programs.Participating in this program was really fun. We got to know about different things. I hope we could again get this project in our coming future.
