TIHARπŸ’œ

Tihar is the second main festival after Dashain. It is also called Deepawali. It is celebrated by hindu people. It is celebrated mostly in Nepal and India. It is a five-day long festival. It starts with Kaag tihar and ends at Bhai tika.

On the first day kaag tihar, we usually worship kaag (crow). I also worshipped crows by offering them food in the morning. And the crows came and ate the food offered by me.

Many girls and boys came in our house to play deusi bhailo. We offered them sel roti and money. We had fun watching them. Many people were playing fireworks and light. We also played with it. And Laxmi puja was ended.

Then, on the fourth day it was Govardhan puja. On this day, we usually worship ox. But I couldn't.

And finally on the fifth day it was bhai tika. The last day of tihar. On this day sisters put tika to their brothers and pray for their long life. I also putted seven-color tika to my brothers and prayed for them. They also putted me tika and gave me valuable gifts. After the putting of tika we ate the delicious food which was made by our mom and aunt. Then we clicked photo and had fun.

My dashain and tihar vacation were celebrated nicely by having fun with my family and relatives.
